Needs List:
The shelter relies on donations given by people and organizations.
- Paper Product: Toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, paper plates, napkins, freezer storage bags (quart & gallon size), sandwich bags, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, coffee filters, heavy duty black garbage bags, tall kitchen garbage bags, small office garbage can bags.
- Shelter supplies: Laundry soap, dryer sheets, bleach, sanitizing liquid hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, all cleaning supplies, hand towels, bath towels, wash cloths, dish towels, dish cloths, laundry baskets, full and twin size bedding-sheets, blankets, comforters, disinfectant sprays, cleaners, toilet bowl cleaners, disinfecting wipes, CFL lights, 40&60 watt light bulbs, AA, AAA, and 9 volt batteries, furniture polish, oven cleaner, flashlights, alarm clocks, old cell phones and sidewalk de-icing salt.
- Personal Supplies: Children's pajamas, children's socks and underwear, ladies pajamas, ladies socks and underwear, girl's or lady's hair accessories, shampoo, conditioner, sanitary napkins, tampons, razors, shaving cream, Q-tips, hairdryers, curling irons, personal soap containers, combs, brushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste. Baby care items-shampoo, baby wash, diaper rash ointment, baby lotion, baby powder, baby wipes, diapers (larger sizes 4 and up).
- Food: coffee, creamer, canned ham, Beefaroni, Spaghettio's, mushrooms, salt, pepper, ketchup, mayonnaise, all canned soups, fruits and vegetables, tomato paste & sauce, peanut butter, boxed mixes (Hamburger Helper, etc), tea, juices, baby food, boxed cereal, oatmeal, sugar, etc.
- Office Supplies: Copier paper, manila file folders, colored file folders, pens, pencils, sticky note pads, and scotch tape
- Monetary Donations
- Phone cards
- Gift cards for Wal-Mart, Staples, Menards, Shopko, Kmart
- Gift cards/certificates for Elmer's County Market or Super One Foods so we can buy meat, fresh fruit, vegetables and other perishables. These could also be used for clients with special dietary needs.
- Taxi coupons
